Osmosis Jones is a fun, interesting movie and about five minutes longer it would have been a perfect film. There's a lot of really funny stuff in it, especially in the cross section of body functions and for a very short time it took my breath away. It's not really a long film, and not really a short film. It's somewhere in the middle. I like it and recommend it, but not for everyone. You might be surprised. 8.0 out of 10. The extras are much better than the normal fare on this disc. There's even some stuff on the MPAA rating change. The special features are pretty good for a movie of this type. They could have used a lot more of them for the DVD.
It's a pretty fun movie! Osmosis Jones does have some pretty cool effects, and is an enjoyable film that is well worth watching. Overall, it's an entertaining movie that fans of 80's comedies will enjoy.
Osmosis Jones is a very funny movie that is only part animated. The movie takes an original and interesting idea, and mixes it with some unfunny subplots. The live action story is well written, but the comedy is pretty weak, and most of the jokes do not even work. This film probably would have worked better with all animation, a better live action plot, or more of a parody feel to it. The film does take its opportunity to mock The Matrix, but not as much as most other goofy comedy films these days. The comedy is very original, and is as much fun watching it as it is listening to the opening theme. Why do I rate it 6/10? Because the live action story is only half as funny as the animated inner-body cinematography. The comedy is pretty weak, and most of the jokes do not even work. Also I am not a fan of recurring characters, and the main character is likeable, but not very likable. I would have enjoyed this movie a lot more if the live action story was a lot funnier. This is a very innovative movie, and I'm sure it will be remembered for years to come.
