Thanks you for the help. I posted it to the site but I need QC to let me know if it’s ok. And the reason I wanted QC is because you have no idea what situation I am in, so there’s no way of knowing if it’s ok or not and chances are it isn’t unless it is a small mistake, and since I am not familiar with the site you gave me, I don’t know how good the QC is usually. Anyways, thanks!
[1] The book is The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Core War of Unix by Brian W. Kernighan and Rob Pike. [2] Sure, I used Tanenbaum’s book, but I don’t have a copy of that right now. The GNU project itself decided to distribute GNU Hurd working kernels in tarballs, but the file organization is much too complicated to understand what’s there and what to do with. For example, at the bottom of this page you can read what you need to do. And this brings me to another thing. I can’t emphasize enough how much easier the file system for Hurd is than that of GNU.
CMake is a cross platform make file generator. I found the intention of CMake is divide projects into ‘modules’. Another good thing about CMake is the fact that it keeps track of modifications and dependencies in order to generate predictable builds of source code.
