After installing updates released on November 8, 2022 or later on Windows Servers with the Domain Controller role, you might have issues with Kerberos authentication. This issue might affect any Kerberos authentication in your environment. Some scenarios that might be affected:
Microsoft combines the latest servicing stack update (SSU) for your operating system with the latest cumulative update (LCU). For general information about SSUs, see Servicing stack updates and Servicing Stack Updates (SSU): Frequently Asked Questions.

Q: After selecting a language, either nothing happens, or the tool displays error code 715-123130. A: This happens when Microsoft's server has blocked your IP address from downloading any more files. Wait at least 24 hours, then try again later. It might also help using a different online connection, and/or a different computer, and/or signing into microsoft.com with a different Live ID. Q: Can you provide a tool for Firefox or Chrome A: Plugins for those browsers already exist. Please use Google to find them. Some downloads can be accessed by faking the user agent string. Q: Can you provide a tool for .NET 2.x, 3.x, or older IE versions A: No, we don't have the resources for creating that many versions. All Windows editions that are still supported (Windows 7 or newer), can run the download tool. You might need to update your Internet Explorer or .NET version to make it work. Q: I'd like to contribute a translation to the download tool in a language that's not on the list. A: Thank you for your offer to help. The download tool integrates content from microsoft.com that's not available in your language. Localization is therefore currently not possible. Q: What's the difference between \"English\" and \"English International\" in the language drop down A: \"English\" is US English, \"English International\" is UK English. (We can't do anything about that, as those are the official language designations coming from Microsoft...) Q: I don't know which file I need to download for my Windows edition. A: Please disable the \"expert mode\", which will leave the file that you most likely need in the download selection. Q: How can I install Windows from a USB drive A: We recommend using Rufus for that. Q: Does the tool pick up aborted downloads A: No. If your internet connection is unstable, we suggest pasting the download link into a download manager.//
EC2LaunchV2_Preview AMIs are discontinued, and will not be updated with new versions. However, earlier versions will continue to be available until January 2022. Existing images and custom images based on EC2LaunchV2_Preview AMIs will not be impacted, and you can continue to use them in your account. We recommend that you use the new EC2Launch v2 AMIs going forward to receive security and software updates.
A new version of Amazon Machine Images has been released. These images include EC2Launch v2 and serve as a functional preview of the new launch agent in advance of it being included by default on all Windows AMIs currently provided by AWS later this year. Note that some SSM documents and dependent services, such as EC2 Image Builder, may require updates to support EC2 Launch v2. These updates will follow in the coming weeks. These images are not recommended for use in production environments. You can read more about EC2Launch v2 at -aws/whats-new/2020/07/introducing-ec2-launch-v2-simplify-customizing-windows-instances/ and Configure a Windows instance using EC2Launch v2. All current Windows Server AMIs will continue to be provided without changes to the current launch agent, either EC2Config (Server 2012 RTM or 2012 R2) or EC2Launch v1 (Server 2016 or later), for the next several months. In the near future, all Windows Server AMIs currently provided by AWS will be migrated to use EC2Launch v2 by default as part of the monthly release. EC2LaunchV2_Preview AMIs will be updated monthly and remain available until this migration occurs.
All Windows Server 2008 R2 AMIs for July were removed and rolled back to AMIs dated 2016.06.15, because of an issue discovered in the AWS PV driver. The AWS PV driver issue has been fixed. The August AMI release will include Windows Server 2008 R2 AMIs with the fixed AWS PV driver and July/August Windows updates.
In making that change with Windows 11, Microsoft acknowledged some IT pros' grumblings that biannual Windows 10 feature update releases were just too frequent. The once-per-year Windows 11 feature updates also promise to be less disruptive for end users. Microsoft uses artificial intelligence to gauge machine readiness for feature updates, and also tracks a user's active hours to optimize update deliveries. Windows 11 advances from Windows 10 with a rounded corners design change, plus more stringent security hardware requirements. [BACK TO PRODUCT LIST]
Along with Windows 10 21H2 deployment, deploying the latest Windows drivers is also important. Otherwise, you will have just the Windows 10 21H2 with no drivers installed. There are multiple ways to deploy drivers and manage driver updates in SCCM. Each organization has their own way to deploy drivers for laptops and computers and driver updates.
If your PC qualifies, upgrading to Windows 11 from Windows 10 will be free. Microsoft began rolling out Windows 11 updates to Windows 10 machines since launch but it has been a staggered release. Even now, Microsoft has prioritized PCs based on factors such as how old they are and how compatible they are with Windows 11. All compatible machines should get the option to upgrade by the middle of 2022.
